Welcome to City Lights Ball - 2013. We would like to, in advance, thank you for being a part of our competition - whether it's to watch the show, attend the Dance Camp and especially if you are dancing with us.

SPECIAL NOTICE:  

Dancers: City Lights Ball is still accepting entries. Please fill out a form and fax it to the registra right away. You can pay at the door. Online registration and ticket orders are available for a limited time before we have to close that option a week prior to the competition. Please do not send checks at this point. Pay at the door and allow plenty of time prior to dancing. By faxing your entries you will secure your spot. We will soon be closing our program. Heat lists and times of dancing will be published 5-7 days prior to the competition and a link provided to that information on this website. Changes/fixes must be communicated to the Registra either at the door of the competition or you can write City Lights Ball citylightsball@gmail.com in advance and we will try to get it taken care of in advance.

Dance Camp: We also can accept Dance Camp registration. Check out the list of all world-class instructors. Classes from all Dance cateogories are available!

Tickets for Admission: Orders can still be faxed in until Monday evening. After this, please only email requests to City Lights Ball citylightsball@gmail.com. Once again, do not send a check at this point. You can pay at the door. Just allow plenty of time in advance, as lines can get long during rush hours! Online ordering for tickets is available as well for a limited time. All tickets are held at Will Call. 

Each year we try to offer you something special at City Lights Ball (CLB). We are known for being a first rate, classy competition where all the details matter. We strive to offer the best in everything:

• Our floor is the best there is, surrounded by beautiful lights.
• We bring in the best music available, and even have live music dancing opportunities.
• Our panel of Competition Judges and Instructors for our Dance Camp are all current or former National or World Champions in various dance categories.

We organize our website so you can find information for ticket sales and entries, and can order online (using MasterCard or Visa) or can download the FORMS and mail or fax them to us directly.

Our shows are known and talked about for years in the dance community. We have hosted more World Champions and finalists in our shows more than any US competion in recent years! We sell out our evening shows in advance so PLEASE order your tickets in advance. You can also purchase a "Season's Pass", which gives discounts for staying with us all weekend. Tickets range from Front Row seats (no table), to Front Table Seats, to Riser Seats, at different prices. We do not sell Standing Room Only tickets so all attendees need to buy their tickets in advance.

We offer groups a discount. Please contact us, Glenn or Barbara, directly if you are interested. 650-223-4950. We encourage studios to sit together and cheer on their friends!

We are minutes (with a free shuttle) from San Jose, Ca. airport and about 30 minutes or so (depends on traffic) from San Francisco. There are lots of fun things to do in Silicon Valley, home of Google, FaceBook and Apple to name a few. And if you want to head north to San Francisco or even the Wine Country, or South to Carmel/Monterey, you can enjoy a great vacation!

Order your hotel reservation directly. DoubleTree Hotel in San Jose. Mention City Lights Ball for the advance discounted rate! (It's amazing.) Dinners and food is on your own. There is a lounge for after hours and on Sunday (late) we have a party.

Are you a Night Club or Country Western dancer? Sunday day there will be group classes with Luis Crespo and Miguel de Sousa, along with their partners. Later that evening you will see them do West Coast Swing dances in a show. And if YOU want to dance WCS, enter into our Jack and Jill event Sunday Evening. Contact us at City Lights Ball citylightsball@gmal.com if you are interested. We have some specials for you! We would like to grow this part of our competition.

Pro/Am, we provide great dancing opportunities for beginners to advanced dancers. We offer Single Dances with lots of age categories, Solos, Multi-Dances (World DanceSport Series qualifier) and Scholarships. Are goodies/gifts are great. Register online or register by FORMS.

Pros need to be pre-registered by the NDCA - no one can dance if not registered (and paid). Please don't wait to get to the competition to be compliant (it holds up the lines!!)
